What You Can Use GregAI For

GregAI supports you throughout your vulnerability management workflow. Here are some examples of common and powerful ways to use it.

Issue Prioritisation

Greg analyses your vulnerabilities using CVSS, EPSS, known exploit data and your compliance requirements, helping you fix the most important issues first.

Example: “Help me prioritise issues ahead of my SOC 2 audit.”

Vulnerability Validation

GregAI guides you step-by-step through validating a vulnerability to understand whether it’s genuine or a false positive.

Example: “Guide me through reproducing this SQL injection issue.”

Remediation Guidance

Greg provides best-practice remediation steps and can tailor guidance to your tech stack.

Example: “Provide a remediation plan for 'CloudWatch Logs Contain Sensitive Information' based on our environment.”

Management Summaries

GregAI can instantly produce summaries for reporting, leadership updates or audits.

Example: “Summarise our current vulnerabilities for a leadership review.”

Tag Management

Greg can create, rename, update or clean up tags for easier organisation and filtering.

Example: “Create a new tag called Development Servers and apply it to these targets.”

Add or Remove Targets

GregAI can add new domains or IPs as targets, or remove ones you no longer need.

Example: “Add these three IPs as new targets and tag them as Production.”

Start or Cancel Scans

Launch or cancel scans using a single prompt. GregAI respects authentication settings and highlights any scheduling conflicts.

Examples:

“Start a scan on all external targets.”

“Cancel the last scan that was triggered.”

Snooze or Unsnooze Issues

Greg can snooze issues for a set duration with a reason, and unsnooze them when they’re ready for review.

Examples:

“Snooze this issue for 30 days.”

“Unsnooze all issues for reassessment.”

Regular Scanning Cadence Check

GregAI can confirm whether your monthly scheduled scans are running reliably, and alert you to:

  • Missed scans

  • Failed scans

  • Issues such as no valid targets included or any scans running on targets missing licenses.

This helps ensure your scanning processes remain healthy and predictable.

Example:

“Check our monthly scanning cadence and confirm there were no failed scans.”

Who Is Greg?

Greg began life as Intruder’s mascot, named accidentally when a design file labelled “Greg” became the character name! Today, Greg is your always-on AI assistant, designed to give calm, balanced, and practical advice about your vulnerabilities.

GregAI Tools

Below is a simplified overview of the tools GregAI uses behind the scenes.

Some allow Greg to look up information, while others let Greg take action when you explicitly ask.

Tools Greg Uses to Gather Information

These tools allow GregAI to understand your environment:

  • View issues and issue occurrences

  • View scan history and scan schedules

  • View targets and their details

  • View tags and tag assignments

  • Retrieve vulnerability findings

  • Search the web for additional context

Tools Greg Uses to Take Action (Only When You Ask & Confirm)

These tools enable Greg to modify or update elements in your account:

Scanning actions

  • Start scans

  • Cancel scans

  • Cancel scan schedules

Issue workflow actions

  • Snooze issues

  • Unsnooze issues

Target management

  • Add new targets

  • Delete targets

Tag management

  • Create new tags

  • Update or rename tags

Greg will never take action unless you directly ask him to.

What’s Next for GregAI?

GregAI is evolving quickly. The Intruder team is expanding his capabilities so he can perform anything a user can do in the platform, from launching scans to adding targets, entirely via conversational prompts.

Upcoming enhancements include:

  • Automated false-positive validation

  • More advanced workflow automation

  • Deeper analysis using platform intelligence
