On average, over 8,000 new vulnerabilities are discovered in common software and hardware platforms every year. That's over 20 every single day.

Most companies don't have time to keep on top of these, IT managers have a million other things to do, and even well resourced security teams can be kept busy with tracking remediation activity, providing management reports, responding to incidents, providing advice to the business, and all the other work that security teams do.

That's why Intruder runs Emerging Threat Scans for newly discovered vulnerabilities. When we identify a new vulnerability that could critically affect your systems, we'll start scanning your targets immediately to ensure you are not vulnerable.

Once the scan is complete you'll receive a notification by email, according to your notification settings on your settings page (see https://help.intruder.io/portal-help/emerging-threat-notification-controls).

You can also view the details of any recent scan activity in the "Recent Activity" section of the Intruder dashboard (top-right corner):

You can click on this notification to see full details of what we scanned you for in the latest scan, and whether you passed or failed each check.

Don't get caught out by newly discovered vulnerabilities, give yourself the best chance to defend your systems by using Intruder's Emerging Threat Scans.

Note: Emerging Threat Scan features are currently only available for customers on our Pro and Verified plans.
